Let’s start saying that here the quality remains one of the highest out there. Toro re-invents himself another time starting with his look : chic & slick polo neck jumper, blazer & bottom down. The teenage geek obsessed with the details of every single sound becomes a man that can order SO MANY DETAILS in pop song schemes. The result of the sound experiments of his youth is how the pop music made made with keyboards should be in the 2013 : not a remake of the synthpop gold era of the 80’s but a true step forward of the electronic pop conception in a way that recently only METRONOMY with “Delta Bay” and very few others did. “Cake” is the staff most loved song, but “Never matter” is the tune to which we danced most, irresistible futuristic funk with pianos trapped in hard 808 bass and exploding drum beats. 9.0 ☺/ 10.0 ☺

Anyway our pink musa presents us a new ep with 8 new additional songs. The production is dope even better than the one on the full length starting with “Up in flames”, the best song by nicki so far in my opinion, a downtempo hip hop anthem with a grave gospel choir, straight to the year-end best-of list. Other favorites on the ep is the dancefloor filler “I’m legit”, with a massive rave synth saw alternated with a frenetic flow on a minimal beat, truly addictive, “The boys” a featuring with Lil Waynethat reminds me of Destiny’s Child ”Survivor”, “The boys” ft.Cassie, Diplo style hip hop ♥. “Va Va Voom” closes The Re-Up in a perfect minaj style, a beat to dance together all night forever. bye bye :3 dolphins muah muah 8.0 ☺/ 10.0 ☺
