We love ellie because she’s the most magnetic voice of the pop scene + she has the sickest friends at the production. Lights was a good album but Halcyon is much better and we realized that since we heard the first single “Anything could happen” : a rave singalong, an unconventional single that shocks the pop scene with the most emotional break of the year (minute 3:44) ♥ ♥ taken to the next level by the remix of Blood Diamond.
The key-song of the album is “Figure 8” , a NERO style club bomb, already a spg favorite for the deepest bass possible and and addictive 90’s piano, put it in the playlist . Also the piano ballads, that shows the songwriting talent of the 26year old british girl, always amaze us in a way with the voice of the most beautiful mermaid. We already felt in love with “I know you care” remixed by EASY GIRL, now listen to the original version and you won’t be disappointed. ”Letting darkness grow/As if we need its palette and we need its colour/But now I’ve seen it through/And now I know the truth/That anything could happen.”
